Client Testimonials

A stranger: calm, warm, and present
Knows more about me than myself
Engages me through tough sessions
To heal the trauma grappling within
I try not to look away.
Trauma that will remain, but dampened
Through talk, therapy, and relapse
Hands over ears in a quiet space, memories return
Relapse is welcomed
Showing healing is possible by understanding one’s needs.
This new stranger has learned to welcome the other stranger
And has connected, realizing neither are strangers any longer
She is grateful with the internal self and physical presence
Who guided and continues to guide her
Through the toughest journey of her life.

The Stranger (Client's Poem)
I was first introduced to Shanta while in a very uncertain place, being thrust with the new onset struggles of PTSD and the varying additional symptoms. I had never felt this way before. She has guided me and continues to guide me through the many waves of PTSD. Shanta has seen me manage and crash in a way no one else has. She has supported me while also continuing to push me as I navigate this difficult journey. Sometimes, she listens and guides but always allows it to be your story. She knows me and how I flourish and is always extremely present during our sessions.
I am so grateful to have met her during the most arduous time of my life, and I look forward to our continued work.
